Trailer testing – essential for verifying reliability

The testing laboratory is a central part of the vehicle type approval process, where a product is measured and evaluated to determine if it meets established technical and safety requirements.

In cooperation with the Trailertech testing laboratory, recognized by the Transport Administration and the Estonian Accreditation Centre, we conduct type approval tests for O1 and O2 category trailers.

Manufacturer's Identifier – The Vehicle's Unique Identity

Every vehicle must be marked with a manufacturer’s identification – a 17-character VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) code, which ensures the unambiguous identification of each vehicle worldwide.

The structure and requirements of the identification depend on the vehicle type and are defined in European Commission regulations and international standards. The first three characters of the code identify the manufacturer with a unique global database identifier. To achieve this, the manufacturer must apply for a WMI (World Manufacturer Identifier) or WMC (World Manufacturer Code).
